FOREWORD

Dewpoint School is an international standard educational institution established in the year 2005, located at Halishahar, one of the prestigious residential areas amidst the heart of the panoramic port city of Chittagong, yet in a quiet and serene place, true to its name.

Dewpoint School was conceived and established by a group of highly qualified, dedicated social workers and philanthropists. Their vision and concern for society and public cause prompted them to serve the needs of quality education in English.

The mission of Dewpoint School is to provide a high quality child centered education system based on the British (Cambridge Int.) Curriculum and the National Curriculum in English Version in separate branches in the suitable environment for children of home and abroad.

The Management is after a plan of two multi-storied buildings with modern educational facilities for British Curriculum and National Curriculum English Version. After the buildings are constructed, both British Curriculum and National Curriculum will be started at 08:15am simultaneously.

ACADEMIC YEAR

British Curriculum: First semester; July to December& Second Semester; January to June

National Curriculum: First Term; January to June & Final Term; July to December.

Academic Week: 5 days a week, Sunday to Thursday.

Academic Calendar: Chronological display fo academic year plan; contains complete curricular & co-curricular activities.

Holiday & Vacations: Friday and Saturday are weekly holidays. National and Religious holidays are observed. Summer, Ramadan, Eid-Ul-Azha, winter and Term-End Short Vacations (if any) are entitled.

ATTENDANCE: Punctuality and Regularity is the key criterion for building physical and mental endurance of the young learners. In case of irregular attendance or unjustified absence, concerned student has to face penalty system. Every student must reach school timely to attend assembly regularly.

DISCIPLINE: very Student requires to obey the rules and must be loyal to discipline. The authorities reserve the right to take necessary action for the care of any disobedience/objectionable behavior disruptive to the general discipline of the institution. To attain remedial treatment, parents would informed in written.

ACADEMIC CURRICULUM: International curriculum leading to ‘O’ level under the University of Cambridge is the basis of teaching. For National curriculum NCTB prescribed English Syllabus is followed. Islamiyat and Religious Studies are compulsory from Std-I onwards. Last years’ PECE and ‘O’ level results, achieved GPA and scholarship related date were remarkable. Steps are implemented to accelerate the progress.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: The school provides scouting, Art, Music, Debate, Cultural classes, Indoor & Outdoor games, Essay writing & Event wise competitions, Project works, Exhibitions and other activities as ECA (Extra Curricular activities regularly. It is compulsory for all the students to enroll in at least one of the ECAs. For the all round development of our young learners, Annual importance & educatives are also arranged timely. Swimming pool, Cafeteria, School Bus, Boys’ and Girls’ separate Common Rooms, Baby Care Centre, Guardians’ Room, Play/Athletics Ground & Gymnasium will be among the modern facilities in the next coming phase.

FACULTY MEMBERS: “The architect of Future Generation” the teaching staffs of Dewpoint School are highly qualified, trained, well experienced, dedicated & devoted to profession and possess parental choice in education. To reinforce the experience with flashes of new ideas regarding updated views and modern teaching techniques, Dewpoint School organizes Teacher’ Training Courses. They also attend the periodical in House workshops & Seminars which are conducted by the British Council and other institutions.

PARENTS TEACHERS MEETING (PTM): Periodical Parents Teachers Meeting are arranged to exchange views for the creation of befitting academic environment. Suggestions proposed by the parents are cordially accepted to improve the institution in all respects.

Tuition Fees, dues and any others charges should be paid within the 10th   of each month. Failure to pay within the schedule, a late fee of Tk. 100.00 will be charged in the current month.

SIBLINGS:

(a) For two (02) children of a parents, the Second Child will receive 30% free on all Tuition Fees only.

(b) For Three (03) Children of a parents, the Third Child will receive 50% free on all tuition Fees only.

(c) Admission Fee will remain constant for all cases.

Security Attempts

  • Precautionary measures regarding security purpose is strictly observed.
  • Security entry point will be closed once the children have entered the school.
  • After the school hour students are permitted to go out of the security entry point only in the presence of concerned parents/authorized guardian.
  • During the school hour only parents are allowed to apply for short leave of students on urgent ground.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES: The intending students require to sit for an Admission Test. Criteria for admission to next class in proficiency in English, Bangla and Mathematics. Admission Test will be held within December for NC and within June for BC. Admission Forms and Prospectus are to be collected from the office and duly completed forms have to be submitted with the enclosures within the scheduled time. Selected candidate are to take admission within the declared period completing all required procedures.
